Valentine’s Day in Islamic point of view

With the arrival of February, the most awaited day of the month is the 14th of February. Valentine’s Day or the day of love is celebrated on this date, and the event is celebrated all across the world with full joy.
Muslims have special reservations towards this day. A majority of Muslims does not celebrate this day, while those who do it, do on the name of liberalism and religious freedom.
.
Show us the straight way, The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray. (1:6-7)

In these verses, the clear supplication of a Muslim is given. A Muslim needs to ask Allah Almighty for the way upon which the people passed who received blessings from Allah and not His anger, neither the path of those who went astray.
Now a Muslim needs to ask, whether the Valentine’s Day celebration is the Right Path? Is it the path on which the earlier Muslims followed? Is it the path that will lead to blessings from Allah Almighty?
The answer to all these questions is a big ‘NO’.

Valentine’s Day celebration is not an activity of the followers of right path, it does not bring blessings of Allah Almighty, and rather it brings His anger..
In Islam, husband and wife can show their love to each other, but this love does not rely on any special day, rather you can do it any time. So, if you are husband and wife and truly love each other, then every day is loving day for you and every night is New Year.
O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust. (5:51)
In this ayah, Allah Almighty forbids Muslims to join with Christians and Jews and not be an ally with them. Now if we view the characteristic of an ally, then one immediately gets to know that being ally means following the other ally and complementing to whatever they do. In this way, as the Valentine’s Day is celebrated by Christians and Jews, therefore, anyone who celebrates it is an ally of them. Thus, a Muslim who follows the instructions of Quran knows that celebrating Valentine’s day is an event of Christians and Jews,
Allah has chosen for us Islam as our religion and He will not accept any other religion from anyone, as He says
" And whoever desires other than Islam as religion - never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers.(3:85)
In many Muslim countries. Muslims follow Christians and Jews, and celebrating their days like Valentine day….
The matter has been made even worse by the opening up of mass communications between peoples, whereby the rituals and customs of the kuffaar are now transmitted with the glamorous adornment of sound and image from their countries into the Muslim countries, via satellite TV and the World Wide Web (Internet). Many Muslims have been deceived by their glamour.
From the history of Valentine’s Day, we acknowledge that Valentine is not just a name of a holiday. In fact, Valentine was a man whom the Christians believe to be a saint. Moreover, the history of Valentine is based on Shirk. In addition to this, the actions committed by the young boys and girls, were purely the acts of fornication…….
Islam is a religion of peace, love and unity. In Islam, there is no special day to express gratitude and love. In fact, everyday is a day to express love to one’s wife, children, parents, elders etc. Islam has ordered us to be kind and just with our family members and close ones to the extent that even animals deserve love and affection. A beautiful Hadith of MUHAMMAD(PBUH) explains that Allah had forgiven an immoral and a prostitute woman due to her kindness towards a thirsty dog.
“There was a dog who was circling a well. Thirst had nearly killed him when a prostitute from amongst the prostitutes of Bani Israeel had seen him. She removed her shoes and quenched the dog. Thereupon, she was forgiven due this action of hers.”(Sahih Al-Bukhari 4/173)
We should show love to our loved ones everyday of our lives. Our love should not be confined to a particular date such as the 14th of February. A person receives tremendous amount of reward simply by placing a morsel in the mouth of one’s wife. Imagine the reward for other good deeds. The Hadith mentions:

“And you spend not upon your family seeking the pleasure of Allah but that you are rewarded for it to the extent of placing a morsel in the mouth of your wife.”
(Sahih Al-Bukhari 5/178)

Valentine’s Day parties, valentine’s special shows on Tv. All of this indicates how deeply this festival has rooted in muslim countries.
But if you keep the society in mind and that there’s enough proof of this day being celebrated then you have a little talk with those who celebrate this event because they  forgot the right path and as a muslim it is the duty of every muslim to  guide them. You need to tell  them that this festival is not in our religion and this event is the major source of fornication… ASTAGFIRRULLAH…
Remember Youth is the future of nations and as a muslim we are a one nation and our identity is ISLAM we are known as muslims... So if we want to become a one united and powerful nation then we should educate and guide our Youth and Christians and Jews target our youth because they know the value of Youth in nation. So Valentine’s Day is another weapon of Christians and Jews to misguide us(Youth) so this day or event is based on kufr, such a celebration prohibited in Islam.
SO SAY NO TO VALENTINE'S DAY...
May ALLAH guide us and protect us
ameen
